Hale Barns First XI compete in the Cheshire County Cricket League Division Two, having earned promotion from the Cheshire Cricket League in 2017.

The side includes several homegrown players, who have come through the ranks from junior level, with seven featuring in the victorious 2018 Cheshire Shield final line-up.

All-rounder Joe Cooper received tremendous recognition for his spectacular 2019 campaign, being named Cheshire County Cricket League Division 2 Player of the Year at the League Awards.

In 2020, the team topped the CCCL Division 2 West table and were crowned East/West Champions after beating Haslington CC in a nail-biting Super Over.

Khurram Hussain top scored with 195 runs, while Ben Hicks was the most prolific wicket taker, amassing 14 at an average of 11.29.
